Repotting: Having new pot and soil, can get away some disease and bugs for your orchid. It is like find new bigger house for you. New soils carry less disease and pests’ egg.
Soap Water: Spray soap water on your orchid can stop insects growing. The soap water kills soft-bodied insects by damaging their skin. Spraying into orchid soil doesn’t help at all, making sure the soapy water contact with the bug on your orchid.
Insecticide: We do not recommend to use insecticide at all in your house, because it is not safe for your kids and pets.
Alcohol: Rubbing alcohol with water and wipe down your orchid leaves, roots, stems can help prevent insects or disease.
The Ideals: Most of the insects can be solved by spraying soap water and rubbing alcohol with water, wipe it down your orchid plants.
