Our Story

Gan Lin is a third-generation family business with over 40 years of experience in the orchid industry.

From the early days of growing Cattleya, Dendrobium, and Oncidium, the company evolved to focus exclusively on Phalaenopsis, building deep expertise in this field.

Our family has played an active role in the industry, including leadership positions in the Taiwan Orchid Growers Association, contributing to the development and global promotion of Taiwan orchids.

Under the third generation, Gan Lin transformed into an export-oriented company, expanding directly into international markets and serving customers across:

  • North & South America
  • Europe
  • Asia
  • Africa

Today, Gan Lin continues to grow with a clear mission:

To bring the excellence of Taiwan Phalaenopsis to the world.

1970s – Foundation of Orchid Craftsmanship

The first generation established a Cattleya orchid nursery in southern Taiwan, laying the foundation of the family’s horticultural legacy. With deep dedication to cultivation techniques and plant quality, the business built strong expertise in orchid production and market understanding.

1990s – Strategic Focus on Phalaenopsis

Recognizing the global potential of Phalaenopsis, the company made a decisive transition to specialize exclusively in Phalaenopsis production. Cultivation of Cattleya, Paphiopedilum, and other orchid varieties was gradually phased out, allowing full focus on breeding, production refinement, and export development.

This marked a defining moment in Gan Lin’s long-term strategy.

2010 – Modern Headquarters & Infrastructure Upgrade

The company relocated its operations to Chaozhou, Pingtung, establishing a modern greenhouse headquarters equipped with improved climate control and production systems. This expansion strengthened operational efficiency and provided the foundation for scalable, standardized Phalaenopsis cultivation.

2000s–2020s – International Market Expansion

Gan Lin expanded its export footprint across Asia, North America, Europe, and beyond. Through consistent quality, reliable supply, and professional partnerships, the company evolved into a trusted Phalaenopsis supplier in multiple global markets.

Production systems were continuously optimized to support large-scale, stable delivery.

2024 – R&D Advancement: Sponge Plug Innovation

Gan Lin initiated dedicated R&D for its proprietary Sponge Plug system, aiming to enhance root aeration, cultivation efficiency, and cost performance. This innovation represents a shift toward technology-driven orchid production, reinforcing the company’s commitment to modern agricultural solutions.

2025 – Establishment of Gan Lin Malaysia

The opening of Gan Lin Malaysia marked a new chapter in regional integration and global supply chain development. The Malaysia base strengthens Southeast Asia market support — including Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand — while enhancing overall scalability and international logistics flexibility.
